Big Hole 200cfs, water temp. 63 Beaverhead 277cfs

Tricos and spruce moths are still the main menu with most of the big fish taken on spruce moth patterns. The spruce moths are so thick up in the canyon that it almost looks like the mother's day caddis hatch. During this heat wave most anglers are adhering to our request to fish mornings only. As I was driving up river yesterday morning around 10:00 am there were numerous fisherman all along the river. When I drove back down around 1:00pm there were only a couple. According to the forecast this weather pattern is supposed to change in the next couple days. With a little help from mother nature and from the irrigators we should make it through this.
