Late in the morning we got into another flurry of spruce moths and the fish were eating them. We had several chances at big fish in that slow shallow water but only got one hookup. Spruce moth patterns worked most of the day even when there wasn’t any around. Art just came in and reported they got a big one on a trico. We didn’t even try any tricos as they were hitting the moth patterns and I didn’t want to deal with the little buggers.
Clients offered to buy me a prime rib dinner tonight so I gotta go.
