Rain and Snow

Big Hole 165 cfs Beaverhead 144 cfs

By Saturday they are predicting wide spread rain and significant snow above the 7000 foot level. It’s about time. This will change fishing conditions quite a bit. It will probably be the end of the tricos and hoppers. Now look for the bwo’s as they normally hatch during cool, wet conditions. One of the best baetis hatches we had was last spring during a snow storm and the fish were on them all day. Streamers will definitely work during these conditions. You can put away the shorts and sun screen for awhile. As in the Spring, this is the time to hook into the big boys.
