Big Hole River 1030 cfs
This would have been the day to go golfing as there was not much action on the Big Hole. This is probably the slowest day I have had for a month or so. Late yesterday afternoon we had one hell of a storm blow through. There was heavy rain, wind ripping branches off trees and hail. This was not a small localized storm as it seemed to cover from Wisdom, Butte and Dillon. It brought the river up by about 200 cfs. We got into a few fish but it was tough sleddin. Conditions should be back to normal by tomorrow. How about that flow—-end of July and the Big Hole is still running 1000 cfs. August fishing with tricos, moths and hoppers will be excellent.
