A new year is upon us, and we are already looking forward to what it has in store. We hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday! We were (un)lucky enough to be in Erie for the “snow”pocalypse. But really, is was quite fun.
The final plans have been laid for Andros Island 2018. Looks like we will be joined by 28 anglers this year, throughout late January, February and early March. Al has already been south since just after Thanksgiving. He hasn’t been as forthcoming with photos of his catches so far; I’m not even sure he took a camera along this year. Work in progress. Another exciting note to add: Montana Rodsmiths has been gracious enough to provide us with six fully rigged, custom made, salt rods for our friends in Andros to try out while they are there! Not to mention we will get to spend some time with Rudy and Brandi, who make the rods.
Craig and I are departing for the south early next week, with stops in Peru (Machu Pichu) and Ecuador before we head to Andros Island. We are excited for this adventure, and fortunate for the opportunity to do some globe-trotting during our off-season.
2018 is already off to a great start. We will try to get some photos of our travels up while we are gone. Best wishes to everyone for continued success in your pursuits; hopefully with some wet lines and full nets along the way.
