Big Hole River 424 cfs—Maidenrock
Last couple days have been cool and wet with well below average temps. This makes for some miserable conditions on the river for some but for those who come prepared they have been well rewarded, or should have been if done right.
This rain has brought on the baetis and as most know when they appear the fish are right on them. It was that way yesterday and also today.
There was nothing happening when we started this morning so I decided to do some R&D with the clients. We just got in some big attractor patterns from Montana Fly and I wanted to try them. They looked real buggy and I was sure they would work and this morning proved it.
Forecast is for more of the same tomorrow and slight warming by Thursday and Friday.
