I realize I have been a bit lax in getting some reports out lately but instead of coming up with a bunch of excuses, I’ll get right into it.
Since the last report we have fished the Big Hole, Jefferson and Missouri.
The Big Hole has been hit and miss according to the weather. Best dry fly action is during the heat of the day, unlike mid summer. Mornings have been quite cool. Streamers and nymphs work best until things heat up.
Jefferson river was pretty much all streamer action and not many fish taken but some good sized browns and rainbows. The rainbows in that river are line backers.
Missouri was windy and just a few on hoppers and the rest on streamers. One guy wanted to fish only dry’s and the other one loved to throw streamers. Guess who caught just about all the fish.
